David L. Hershberger was born and raised in Chillicothe, Missouri, graduating from Chillicothe High School in 2013. He graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia in 2016, where he received a BA in philosophy, magna cum laude. Before beginning law school, David worked in Washington, DC, at Georgetown University Law Center’s Juvenile Justice Clinic and worked as a Legislative Assistant on Capitol Hill. In 2020, he received a Juris Doctorate from George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School in Arlington, Virginia.

In law school, David was a board member of the Journal of Law, Economics & Policy; cofounder and treasurer of the George Mason Family Law Society; vice president of communications of Scalia Law Federalist Society; a board member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society; and chair of fellowship for Christian Legal Society.

David started Hershberger Law, LLC in September of 2022. He is licensed to practice in the State of Missouri, in both State and Federal Court. His focus areas are Estate Planning, Real Estate Law, Corporate and Business Planning, Civil Litigation, and Guardian ad Litem Appointments.

David resides in Chillicothe with his wife, Rachel, and their dogs, Maggie (Margaret Thatcher Hershberger) and Winston (Winston Churchill Hershberger). He is a member at First Baptist Church and enjoys watching and playing sports, spending time with family, and working on home and yard projects. He enjoys wearing flannel shirts, jeans, boots, and Carhart coats instead of suits normally worn by attorneys (except in court).
